The Meter Test Bench offers power and energy reference meter accuracy up to 0.01%. The reference meter measures all main and influencing quantities, including harmonic analysis and distortion of test signals.
The Meter Test Bench's available power of highly pure synthesized four-quadrant test signals and maximum current of 240 A meet the needs of both precision and high-capacity test laboratories. The test signal can be generated with user-defined harmonic content and predefined waveforms.
The Meter Test Bench uses intelligent, high-resolution Local Evaluation Units, reflective optical sensors that scan marks on the meter disc, and passive sensors that scan the LED outputs of electronic meters. The sensors are insensitive to external lighting conditions and feature automatic calibration that eliminates manual adjustment. An optional optical communication channel enables simultaneous data exchange with electronic meters. Built-in remotely controlled dividers enable evaluation of high-constant meters with light pulses up to 1 kHz.
The Meter Test Bench's handling system accommodates several mobile meter trolleys, each holding 20 test meters. The trolleys are suitable for manual wiring of high-current meters or can be equipped with quick-connect connectors for lower currents. A static version of the handling system is also available.
Optional precision electronically compensated transformers enable simultaneous testing of electricity meters with interconnected current and voltage circuits.
The Meter Test Bench's wireless data collection Handheld Unit with an integrated barcode laser scanner enables versatile local data collection from meters under test.
The Control Software provided for Microsoft Windows supports multilingual operation with user-defined dictionaries, user-friendly configuration of test procedures, database operations, and user-defined output document formats compatible with Microsoft Office for any system output device.
The Meter Test Bench's local network and database enable automatic data exchange, centralized evaluation and archiving in laboratories with multiple test systems.
